Pharmacy chain Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. and life sciences company Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings, or LabCorp, will open at least 600 LabCorp patient service centers at Walgreens locations across the U.S. over the next four years, according to an Oct. 10 release.

The move is part of the existing partnership between the two companies, announced in June last year. Walgreens and LabCorp have already opened 17 service centers under the initiative, according to the announcement.

The LabCorp sites at Walgreens locations offer specimen collection, laboratory testing and other healthcare services.

The companies said they are also pursuing other collaboration opportunities and expanding the services available at the patient centers.
