Ontario Energy Board approves Union Gas pipeline expansion project

The OntarioEnergy Board approved Union GasLtd.'s C$12.3 million Leamington expansion project to extendservice in the Leamington, Kingsville, Mersea Township and Gosfield South areasof the province.

TheSpectra Energy Corputility will build a seven-kilometer, 12-inch-diameter gas pipeline andassociated facilities that would add 51,900 cubic meters per hour, according toa July 6 news release. The project is expected to support an increase innatural gas demand from localgreenhouse agribusiness.
