NYPSC extends deadline for Altice/Cablevision deal

The New York State Public Service Commission extended the deadlinefor its decision regarding AlticeNV's proposedacquisition of

The agency, which had previously set an April 29 deadline, isnow expected to decide about the proposed transaction May 20, according to an April4 letter sent to Kathleen Burgess, secretary at the NYPSC.

Altice, meanwhile, said in a statement that the new deadlinewill not reportedly delay the final closing of the merger deal, which is expectedto happen by the end of the second quarter. The deal still reportedly requires theapproval of the FCC, Multichannel Newsreported April 5.
