FERC clears Shell to buy stake in Silicon Ranch

Silicon Ranch Corp. secured the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's approval to sell an approximately 43.84% stake to a Royal Dutch Shell plc subsidiary.

In a March 6 order, the commission authorized Swiss private equity firm Partners Group AG to sell the stake in Silicon Ranch to Shell New Energies US LLC for up to $217 million in cash. Silicon Ranch owns and operates the 51.5-MW Hattiesburg solar farm in Forrest County, Miss., and the 52.5-MW SR South Loving solar facility in Jeff Davis County, Ga. (FERC docket EC18-47)
