KKR issues ¥40.30B of senior notes

KKR & Co. LP raised ¥40.30 billion through an issue of senior notes in three tranches.

The company said it issued ¥25 billion of five-year notes with a coupon of 0.509%, ¥5 billion of seven-year notes with a coupon of 0.764%, and ¥10.30 billion of 20-year notes with a coupon of 1.595%.

The notes were issued by the company's indirect unit, KKR Group Finance Co. IV LLC, to buyers outside the U.S. and to qualified institutional buyers in the U.S., according to a Form 8-K filed March 15.

KKR plans to use net proceeds from the issuance for general corporate purposes, including to fund potential acquisitions and investments in Japan.
