Insurance Care Direct Inc. has appointed John Doak COO and Christa Rapoport general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Doak replaces co-founder Brad Cohen, who has been serving as COO since 2001. Cohen will remain with the company as co-chair.

Doak previously served as executive vice president of regulatory affairs and business development. The former Oklahoma insurance commissioner will be working closely with the company's newly appointed CEO E. Benjamin Nelson.

Rapoport previously worked as a consultant for regulatory affairs and compliance at Nelson Taplin Goldwater Consultants LLC.
