Cosmetics retailer Sa Sa International Holdings Ltd. said Sept. 28 that it has teamed up with Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. to open a flagship store on the Chinese e-commerce giant's Tmall Global cross-border marketplace.
With the move, the Hong Kong-based chain is targeting the platform's more than 500 million monthly active users in China. Sa Sa will offer skincare and makeup products in the new online shop.
Sa Sa said it aims to further expand its customer base beyond its physical store network and also address changing consumption patterns and consumer needs brought on by e-commerce.
It will collaborate with Tmall Global in marketing promotions and offering discounts.
