Univanich Palm Oil Q2 profit falls YOY

Univanich Palm Oil Public Company Ltd said its second-quarter normalized net income amounted to 10 satang per share, a decrease of 22.8% from 13 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 93.2 million baht, a decrease of 22.8% from 120.8 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 7.3% from 10.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 6.8% on an annual basis to 1.27 billion baht from 1.19 billion baht, and total operating expenses climbed 11.1% year over year to 1.13 billion baht from 1.02 billion baht.

Reported net income declined 22.2% on an annual basis to 124.5 million baht, or 13 satang per share, from 160.1 million baht, or 17 satang per share.

As of Aug. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 35.04 baht.
