U.S. alcoholic beverages company Constellation Brands Inc. said March 20 that it will expand its brewery in Obregon in Sonora, Mexico, to increase its annual production capacity by 5 million hectoliters in the coming three to four years.
The company said it will invest about $900 million at the brewery and that the investment will generate 450 new permanent jobs. The company will employ "thousands" of locals during the construction phase of the project, which will start immediately.
The move allows the company to optimize its production footprint and expand its brewing and packaging capacities across the country.
