Hollywood SA Q3 profit climbs YOY

Hollywood SA said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 5 groszy per share, a gain from 1 groszy per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.6 million zlotys, an increase from 410,770 zlotys in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 9.1% from 3.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 55.2% year over year to 17.9 million zlotys from 11.5 million zlotys, and total operating expenses grew 42.0% year over year to 14.8 million zlotys from 10.5 million zlotys.

Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to 2.2 million zlotys, or 6 groszy per share, from 657,880 zlotys, or 2 groszy per share.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 3.96 zlotys.
