Dane Holmes, Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s head of human capital management, will retire at the end of 2019, according to an internal memo seen by S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Holmes was named to the role in 2017. The investment banking giant said Chief Administrative Officer Laurence Stein will have day-to-day oversight of the division until Holmes' successor has been named.
Holmes' planned departure follows a number of high-profile retirements announced recently, which include Global Co-Head of Securities Marty Chavez. The Wall Street Journal reported 15% of Goldman Sachs partners are set to leave this year as Chairman and CEO David Solomon looks to reduce the number of partners named to maintain the position's exclusivity. Those who are set to leave include Chief Technology Officer Elisha Wiesel and Head of Research Operation Steven Strongin, according to the report.
