Trustmark shareholders OK change in voting standard in director elections

stockholdersapproved amendmentsto the Jackson, Miss.-based company's articles of incorporation at their annualmeeting held April 26.

Theamendment requiring majority voting in uncontested director elections got46,997,371 votes in favor and 114,644 against. There were 153,969 abstentionsand 11,770,173 broker non-votes.

The otherapproved amendment eliminates cumulative voting in director elections. Therewere 45,419,467 votes in favor of the proposal, and 1,634,408 votes against.There were 212,109 abstentions and 11,770,173 broker non-votes.
