Report: Savanna to buy Deka Immobilien NYC building for $195M

DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale's investment arm, Deka Immobilien Investment GMBH, struck an agreement to sell its 16-story 293,000-square-foot Berkeley Building in Manhattan, N.Y., to Savanna Investment Management LLC for $195 million, The Real Deal reported.

The German seller called off a round of bidding scheduled Aug. 1 when Savanna signed a contract to pay about $660 per square foot for the 86%-leased office property at 19 W. 44th St., Midtown, on July 31, the report noted, citing unnamed sources.

Colliers, Savanna and Deka representative declined to comment on the matter, the report added.
