JP Morgan Asset Management appoints CEO for Europe, Middle East, Africa biz

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Patrick Thomson as CEO of asset management business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Pensions & Investments reported, citing a memo.

Thomson, who is retaining his responsibilities as international head of institutional clients, takes on the role from Mike O'Brien who is relocating to New York to focus on his other duties as co-head of asset management solutions. His appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

O'Brien will continue to act as CEO and oversee the region until Thomson's appointment is finalized and to ensure a seamless transition.
