Serbia-based Dunav Insurance Co. ADO expects its 2017 pretax profit to reach 1.25 billion Serbian dinars, up by 20% year over year, SEENews reported Dec. 19, citing the company's president, Mirko Petrovic.
The insurer also expects to end 2017 with gross premiums of over €200 million, up 8% year over year, with 11% growth in life insurance premiums and a 7% hike anticipated in nonlife insurance premiums, Petrovic reportedly said in a video posted on the website of Serbian news agency Tanjug.
The insurer's market share will be between 26% and 27% at the end of 2017, a figure similar to that from 2016, the report noted.
As of Dec. 19, US$1 was equivalent to 100.56 Serbian dinars.
