2 Georgia insurance agencies merge

Darley Insurance Agency and DeWitt Insurance Agency, both based in Statesboro, Ga., have merged, the Statesboro Herald reported.

The new company is named DeWitt-Darley Insurance Agency of Statesboro, and has more than 15 agents in their Rincon and Statesboro locations in Georgia, according to the report. Senior Agent Angela Long will continue to manage the combined company. Former Darley employee Marie Brown has also joined the DeWitt-Darley team.

Darley Insurance was established in 1963 and Bryan Darley is the owner of the agency. DeWitt Insurance Agency was established in 1956 by Edgar DeWitt Sr., the news outlet reported.
