CDIB Capital names head of newly formed buyout group

CDIB Capital International (Hong Kong) Corp. Ltd. named Alex Ying head of its newly created buyout group, effective immediately.

The appointment, announced Sept. 2, is part of the private equity firm's increasing strategic focus on middle-market buyout opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region, mainly in Greater China.

Ying was the founder and managing partner of Rivendell Partners Ltd. He also worked at Carlyle Group LP, most recently as managing director.

CDIB Capital, which is an affiliate of merchant banking group China Development Financial Holding Corp., targets Asia-Pacific businesses in the consumer, retail, value-added manufacturing, healthcare, technology and new services markets.
