Global Bankers Insurance Group has hired Tamre Edwards to be general counsel and corporate secretary.

Edwards worked most recently for Nationwide Insurance as associate vice president and associate general counsel for mergers and acquisitions.

Global Bankers Insurance Group is a consortium of insurance and reinsurance companies that focus on life insurance and annuities. Some of its members include Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Co., Southland National Insurance Corp. and Mothe Life Insurance Co.
