Executive, director moves through May 25

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of recent board and executive changes in the metals and mining industry. The moves are listed in chronological order.

May 21

Shougang Concord International Enterprises Co. Ltd. appointed Xu Liang as executive director and Ho Gilbert Chi Hang as a nonexecutive director. Meanwhile, Shu Hong resigned as an executive director and deputy managing director of the company.

Yue Da Mining Holdings Ltd. named Cai Baoxiang an executive director and vice chief executive of the company.

May 22

Kidman Resources Ltd. CFO Charles McGill stepped down from the position, and the company's current general manager finance and commercial, Jason Eveleigh, will take up the acting CFO role.

Midas Gold Corp. increased the size of its board to eight members with the addition of Barrick Gold Corp. chief investment officer Mark Hill.

Alan Birchmore joined Venus Metals Corp. Ltd. as the nonexecutive chairman and a director after the recent death of Terry Hogan. Venus Metals also named Matthew Hogan as its managing director. Matthew Hogan stepped down as chairman and was managing director until March 2017.

North American Nickel Inc. appointed Sarah-Wenjia Zhu as CFO of the company, replacing Chris Hopkins.

Deep-South Resources Inc. elected Jean-Luc Roy as a director after the resignation of Hugo Monette.

Thomas Beaudoin resigned as a director of Silver Range Resources Ltd., effective May 15.

Chilean Metals Inc. appointed Mick Sharry president and COO and elected him to the board.

May 23

Norsk Hydro ASA elected Liselott Kilaas to its board, replacing Liv Monica Bargem Stubholt, who had been a board member since 2010.

TerraCom Ltd. added Paul Anderson to its board as a nonexecutive director.

Kenges Rakishev resigned from the board of Central Asia Metals PLC.

José Antonio Merino took up a nonexecutive director position on the board of Kore Potash Plc as a nominee of Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA. Merino is replacing Pablo Altimiras.

Afritin Mining Ltd added Terence Goodlace to its board as a nonexecutive director.

Stephen Lunsford agreed to join the board of Anfield Energy Inc. as Jim Rasmussen stepped down from the role.

Pure Energy Minerals Ltd. appointed Frank Wells to its board after the resignation of Lithium X Energy Corp. nominee Bassam Moubarak. NextView New Energy Lion Hong Kong Ltd., which acquired Lithium X, is not yet ready to nominate a replacement.

Vanstar Mining Resources Inc. added Martin Richard and Eric Gervais to its board.

Don Ncube retired as a nonexecutive director of Gold Fields Ltd.

Far Resources Ltd. has appointed Toby Mayo as president and CEO of the company. Mayo previously took over as the interim CEO following the death of Keith Anderson.

Jason Leikam is taking over the president and CEO position at Letho Resources Corp. from Bryson Goodwin.

Damara Gold Corp. appointed Lucas Birdsall as a director of the company, while David Stone resigned from the board.

Peter Alexander, Marcel Hilmer, Daniel Ryan and James Harris have resigned from the board of Caravel Minerals Ltd., effective the same day.

FPX Nickel Corp. shareholders set the number of board members at seven and elected Peter Bradshaw, James Gilbert, Peter Marshall, John McDonald, William Myckatyn, Robert Pease and Martin Turenne to the board. Meanwhile, John Gammon did not stand for re-election at the meeting.

Lupaka Gold Corp. added Mario Stifano to the board to replace Stephen Silbernagel, effective immediately, and Ryan Webster as the CFO to replace Darryl Jones, effective June 1.

May 24

Exxaro Resources Ltd. elected Geraldine Joslyn Fraser-Moleketi, Mark Moffett, and Lenamile Isaac Mphatlane to its board following the resignation of Deenadayalen Konar, Constantinus Fauconnier and Saleh Mayet.

Peng Yanxiang joined Citic Ltd. as a nonexecutive director following the resignation of Liu Yeqiao from the position.

ActivEX Ltd. named Mark Derriman a director of the company.

Martin Holland is stepping down as the managing director and CEO of Lithium Power International Ltd.

Asiamet Resources Ltd. executive director and vice president of exploration Stephen Hughes resigned from the positions for personal reasons.

Westhaven Ventures Inc. director Grenville Thomas will move into the chairman role. while the company's founder and director Gareth Thomas will assume the president and CEO position. Additionally, Hannah McDonald has joined the board as an independent director.

Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc. named Gary O'Connor as the CEO and chief geologist, and Ian Peres has been appointed president and CFO. Meanwhile, CFO Warren Bates has stepped down.

East Energy Resources Ltd. appointed Chris Thoroughgood as a nonexecutive director as part of an agreement with Noble Group Ltd. Thoroughgood is currently Noble's executive director of hard commodities Australia and New Zealand. Mark Basso-Brusa, current managing director and chairman at East Energy, resigned and will be replaced by Rex Littlewood, who is currently a nonexecutive director.

Aura Silver Resources Inc. added Robert Johansing to its board, effective May 23.

May 25

Liu Caiming decided to step down as a nonexecutive director of Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. due to changes in work arrangements. Meanwhile, the company appointed Zhu Runzhou as vice president.

Lanka Graphite Ltd. Executive Chairman Jitto Arulampalam and managing director Emily Lee both resigned as executive directors and will now act as nonexecutive directors. Additionally, nonexecutive director Barry Pang has been appointed as nonexecutive chairman, effective immediately.

Constellium NV appointed Stephanie Frachet as a nonexecutive board member.

Artie Hao Li joined Stakeholder Gold Corp. as the CFO of the company.

GoldMining Inc. elected Amir Adnani, Gloria Ballesta, Garnet Dawson, Herb Dhaliwal, Mario Bernardo Garnero and David Kong as directors. Meanwhile, CFO Patrick Obara did not stand for re-election to the board but will retain his executive position.

Caravel Minerals named Wayne Trumble as a nonexecutive director.

Argo Gold Inc. appointed Ken Storey as the company's CFO.

Carube Copper Corp. added Sean Harvey, Zimi Meka and Stephen Hughes to its board of directors.
