MedMira's cease trade order lifted by Canadian regulator

MedMira Inc. said the Nova Scotia Securities Commission has revoked an order prohibiting the company from trading its securities.

Halifax, Nova Scotia-based MedMira said the cease trade order was issued Aug. 31 due to the late filing of documents related to the resignation of its auditor Deloitte LLP. The auditor resigned when terms of engagement could not be established with the company, MedMira said in a Sept. 6 release. The company said there were no reservations in Deloitte's reports on any of the audited financial statements.

MedMira said the required documents have been filed with the regulator and it was now in compliance with regulatory disclosure filings. The company added that trading through the TSX Venture Exchange will remain halted pending the completion of the company's reinstatement review.

MedMira is a biotechnology company that researches and develops rapid diagnostics and technology platforms.
