Report: Catalina terminates $166M Public Service Insurance legacy deal

Catalina has terminated its deal to acquire Public Service Insurance Co.'s $166 million legacy book of largely workers' compensation business, The Insurance Insider reported.

Public Service's loss portfolio transfer for the book was meant to occur by Jan. 16, but an order from Illinois-based Circuit Court of Cook County Judge, Neil Cohen, disclosed that the deal never closed, according to the report.
