Consolidated Zinc to take up full ownership of Plomosas zinc mine in Mexico

Consolidated Zinc Ltd. said Sept. 4 that it will take up full ownership of the Plomosas zinc mine in Mexico after signing a binding term sheet to acquire the remaining 10% stake from Retec Guaru S.A. de C.V in exchange for a 1% net smelter returns royalty.

The Australian explorer, in late 2018, initially raised its stake in Plomosas to 90% from 51%.

The deal to consolidate ownership in the operation is expected to be completed by Sept. 30.
