Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Hammerberg Insurance Services Inc., which does business as First Iowa Insurance Agency Inc., for undisclosed terms.

First Iowa offers commercial and personal property and casualty insurance; group and individual health; and individual life coverage and services to clients throughout the state and the central U.S. It also provides commercial safety, loss control and Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance consulting services.
