Hancock Holding aims for higher EPS by 2019

Gulfport, Miss.-based Hancock Holding Co. is aiming to post higher quarterly earnings per share by the fourth quarter of 2019.

In a March 6 investor presentation, the company said it is aiming to report EPS of $1.00 to over $1.10 quarterly, compared to the 86 cents it reported in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The company is also looking to increase its quarterly operating return on assets within the range of 1.15% to 1.25% or more.

For its efficiency ratio, Hancock is aiming to reach a level lower than or equal to 56%.
