Independence Holding's chief underwriting officer resigns

IndependenceHolding Co. said in a Form 8-K filed April 1 that Michael Kempresigned as chief underwriting officer and senior vice president of the companyin connection with the saleof IHC Risk SolutionsLLC and the stop-loss business produced by it to ' largestU.S. carrier, Westport InsuranceCorp.

The resignation was effective as of the close of businessMarch 31.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions earlier said that Kemp willlead its North America accident and health business unit.
