Report: German prosecutors appeal Deutsche Bank execs' acquittal

German prosecutors filed an appeal against the of Co-CEO Jürgen Fitschenand four former bank officials from a civil lawsuit related to the collapse ofLeo Kirch's media empire, Bloomberg News reported April 26, citing an emailfrom the prosecutor's spokesman, Thomas Steinkraus-Koch.

Steinkraus-Koch said the procedural step guaranteed that theMunich-based prosecutors' office would clear the one-week deadline for filingthe paperwork. He added that the prosecutors' office would wait to see thecourt's written version of the judgment before making a final decision onwhether to go ahead with full appeals, the newswire said.
