HomeTown Bankshares CFO to retire; successor named

Charles Maness Jr., executive vice president and CFO ofRoanoke, Va.-based HomeTownBankshares Corp., is set to retire effective Aug. 5.

Maness has served as CFO and principal accounting officer ofthe company since May 1, 2006. He plans to travel and spend more time withfamily, but will remain available to the company after his retirement date on aconsulting basis, according to a Form 8-K filed July 7.

Upon Maness' retirement, the company's board promoted VanceAdkins to CFO. Adkins joined the company in 2010 as senior risk officer.
