Ci:z Holdings fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

Ci:z Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Oct. 31 came to ¥11.28 per share, a decline of 23.4% from ¥14.73 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥562.5 million, a decline of 23.4% from ¥734.4 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 7.4% from 10.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 5.7% on an annual basis to ¥7.58 billion from ¥7.17 billion, and total operating expenses rose 11.9% on an annual basis to ¥6.72 billion from ¥6.01 billion.

Reported net income declined 19.5% year over year to ¥575.0 million, or ¥11.53 per share, from ¥714.0 million, or ¥14.32 per share.

As of Dec. 11, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.44.
