Report: 5 former Barclays traders plead not guilty to LIBOR rigging

Five former Barclays Plc traders pleaded not guilty to charges ofmanipulating LIBOR, The Daily Telegraph reported April 4.

Jonathan Mathew, Stylianos Contogoulas, Ryan Reich, AlexPabon and Jay Merchant stand accused by the U.K. Serious Fraud Office of makingfalse submissions for U.S. dollar LIBOR between 2005 and 2007.

The trial, which starts in the week of April 4, is takingplace at Southwark Crown Court and is expected to last three months, accordingto the paper.
