Monax Mining applies for lithium-prospective tenement in Australia

Monax MiningLtd. said April 8 that it submitted an application for a lithiumprospective tenement west-southwest of Mount Garnet in northern Queensland,Australia.

The application area contains 10 known tin prospects;however, there has been no lithium exploration in the region.

The Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines hasidentified "moderately weathered, light pink, lepidolite pegmatite nearmetamorphics" in close proximity to the application area.

Monax plans to review the application area for anexploration program, which will start upon the successful grant of the tenement.
