EMS-Chemie Holding AG said its normalized net income for the first half came to CHF7.18 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of CHF9.43 per share.
EPS rose year over year from CHF6.86.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was CHF167.9 million, a gain from CHF160.5 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue grew 6.4% on an annual basis to CHF1.07 billion from CHF1.00 billion, and total operating expenses grew 6.6% on an annual basis to CHF786.0 million from CHF737.0 million.
Reported net income increased 5.6% year over year to CHF225.0 million, or CHF9.62 per share, from CHF213.0 million, or CHF9.11 per share.
