Chuo Gyorui Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥77.18 per share, a gain of 23.5% from ¥62.49 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥316.6 million, a gain of 23.5% from ¥256.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.6% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 14.5% on an annual basis to ¥56.61 billion from ¥49.44 billion, and total operating expenses increased 14.4% year over year to ¥56.10 billion from ¥49.04 billion.
Reported net income increased 43.8% on an annual basis to ¥509.0 million, or ¥124.08 per share, from ¥354.0 million, or ¥86.29 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
