The Indian arm of U.S. retail giant Walmart Inc. will start selling products of Girijan Co-op Corp. at select stores in the country, The Times of India reported Feb. 22, citing unnamed sources.

Walmart reportedly placed an order for 1 million rupees' worth of Girijan Co-op goods. It plans to sell them beginning the third week of March, initially at its Rajahmundry store before expanding to its other outlets, the newspaper said.
The report added that Girijan Co-op expects 50 million to 100 million rupees in sales through Walmart in the coming five to six years.
As of Feb. 21, US$1 was equivalent to 64.81 Indian rupees.
