Banestes CEO to step down in January 2017

Guilherme Gomes Dias will step down as CEO of Banestes SA - Banco do Estado do Espírito Santo at the end of January 2017 due to personal reasons, the bank said in Dec. 14 filings.

The company did not immediately name a replacement but noted that Dias will ensure a smooth transition to his successor.

Dias, who became the bank's CEO in May 2013, is now looking to work in the private sector in areas such as corporate restructuring, infrastructure projects and resource management.
