Red Arrow, Studio71 to merge in ProSiebenSat.1 Media restructure

ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE will restructure its operations under three main units come January 2018, weeks after announcing that CEO and executive board Chairman Thomas Ebeling will step down in February 2018.

Under entertainment, the media group will house TV broadcasting, distribution, advertising platform solutions, SevenVentures and digital platforms, such as maxdome and the 7TV app. ProSiebenSat.1 also said it is investing more in addressable TV, AdTech and data.

Under content production and global sales, Red Arrow Entertainment Group and multichannel network Studio71 will be combined and renamed Red Arrow Studios, integrating digital video into traditional production and into its international distribution networks.

Under commerce, the company will operate as NCG-NUCOM GROUP, divided into home services and mobility, leisure and relationships, health and beauty, and style.

A review process is ongoing for the company's online travel business with package tours, following the divestment of etraveli. ProSiebenSat.1 is in talks with possible partners for a minority investment in the NCG-NUCOM GROUP, with deals expected to be finalized by the second quarter of 2018 in case the parties come to a successful agreement.
