Founder Vernon Hill steps down from Metro Bank board

Metro Bank PLC's founder and former chairman, Vernon Hill, stepped down as a nonexecutive director on the bank's board, according to a Dec. 17 filing.

The departure is effective immediately.

Metro Bank continues to struggle with the fallout of an accounting error revealed in January, in the wake of which the lender's CEO, Craig Donaldson, and Hill both resigned.
