MOD estimates 28.4 million-tonne maiden resource at T3 discovery in Botswana

MOD Resources Ltd. has completed a maiden resource at its T3 discovery, part of its 70%-owned Botswana joint venture with 30% owner Metal Tiger Plc, containing about 350,000 tonnes of copper and 14.3 million ounces of silver.

Total mineral resource at the deposit stands at 28.4 million tonnes at 1.24% copper and 15.7 g/t of silver for 350,000 tonnes of copper and 14.3 million ounces of silver, using a 0.5% copper cutoff grade, MOD said Sept. 26.

The total resource includes a high-grade core of 8.5 million tonnes at 2.16% copper and 30.6 g/t of silver containing about 183,000 tonnes of copper and 8.34 million ounces silver, at a 1.5% copper cutoff.

According to the statement, 64% of the total resource is in the indicated resource category, and the resource is open downdip and southwest of current drilling.
