Alliant Energy Corp. closed its purchase of a 50% class B membership stake in the 225-MW Great Western wind facility in Oklahoma from EDF Renewable Energy, according to an Aug. 1 notice to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The EDF Group subsidiary continues to own the remaining 50% class B membership through GW DSSA Holdco LLC and will retain day-to-day managing control of the Woodward County-based facility. Great Western holds a long-term contract with Google Inc.
FERC approved the deal on July 20. (FERC docket EC17-130)
