Board chairman of Banco Azteca's Peruvian unit resigns

The board of Banco Azteca SA Institución de Banca Múltiple's Peruvianunit, Banco Azteca del Peru, has accepted the resignation of Sara Soriano deTeresa as chairman of the board.

Soriano de Teresa was replaced by Jose Alberto BalbuenaBalbuena, who started in the position Oct. 10. The new appointment is effectiveupon registration in Peru's register of legal entities, the bank said in afiling.
