Draper, Pfizer collaborate on microphysiological systems technology

Draper, an independent, not-for-profit engineering research and development company, entered into a three-year collaboration agreement with Pfizer Inc. to create variations of Draper's microphysiological systems technology.

The partnership aims to advance preclinical safety testing and develop effective disease models.

In the collaboration, Draper will create three unique models of microphysiological systems for liver, vascular and gastrointestinal organs.

Draper's microphysiological systems technology aims to recapitulate human tissues, enabling researchers to measure tissue function more accurately and more quickly compared to traditional preclinical models.
