Experian to acquire minority stake in London & Country Mortgages

Ireland-based intelligence provider Experian Plc agreed to acquire a 25% minority shareholding in London & Country Mortgages Ltd.

Mike Edge, London & Country Mortgages' chairman, will remain majority shareholder, while "a significant portion of equity" will remain with the firm's management and employees.

London & Country Mortgages had Fenchurch and Osborne Clarke, respectively, as adviser and legal adviser, while Eversheds Sutherland served as adviser to Experian on the deal, which is subject to consent from the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority.
