Cartier Resources Inc. said Dec. 8 that it has started a diamond drill program at its Cadillac Extension copper project in Quebec, with a view to discover new massive sulfide deposits similar to the Langlade copper-zinc-silver-gold deposit, where geophysics indicate the potential for a much larger volume of mineralization.
The program will comprise 3,410 meters of drilling and will test the depth and potential of the Langlade deposit, where new anomalies were identified during the 2016 deep induced polarization survey.
According to Cartier, the new anomalies are located in an area that has not been previously tested, with geophysical signatures similar to that of Langlade and that stretch over 1.5 kilometers to the east.
