Nairobi, Kenya-based CfC Stanbic Bank Ltd. is considering changing its nameback to Stanbic Bank, The Starreported July 12.

The bank, which took its current name after the merger ofCFC Bank and Stanbic Bank in June 2008, will hold an extraordinary generalmeeting on Aug. 5 to address the rebranding.

The bank's parent CfC Stanbic Holdings Ltd. is set to change its name toStanbic Holdings, the report added.

Standard BankGroup Ltd. owns 60% of CfC Stanbic Holdings Ltd.
