MLC makes board changes

MLC Ltd. made changes to its board following 'ssale of an 80% stakein MLC to Nippon Life InsuranceCo.

The company said Oct. 3 that Peeyush Gupta will step down aschairman, following the appointment of Peter Grey as MLC's new chairman. Inaddition, Elana Rubin has retired as director, while Andrew Gale will depart asa board member.

Gupta and Gale will continue as directors within theNational Australia Bank group.

In addition, Andrew Hagger will continue on MLC's board, buthas been redesignated as a nonexecutive director.

National Australia Bank had also said in a separate releasethe same day that MLC appointed Andrew Cornish as independent nonexecutivedirector, while Hiroyuki Nishi and Toshihiro Nakashima were named asnonexecutive directors.
