Deutsche rejigs leveraged finance teams; BNP Paribas names property adviser head

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a daily roundup of management and board changes at financial institutions in Europe. This feature excludes C-level leadership changes and previously reported stories.

Deutsche Bank

* Deutsche Bank AG made further changes to its executive ranks amid a restructuring of its investment bank, including the appointment of Hoby Buvat as head of leveraged finance origination for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Financial News reported, citing an internal memo.

Buvat, who was the German lender's co-head of loan capital markets for EMEA, will replace Nick Jansa, who left in July. Deutsche Bank also named Diarmuid Toomey and Jeremy Selway co-heads of leveraged debt capital markets in EMEA and Mark Lewellen head of debt capital markets origination.

Meanwhile, Frazer Ross will become responsible for liability management and ratings and capital structure advisory in addition to his current role as head of investment grade syndicate, according to the memo.

BNP Paribas

* BNP Paribas SA appointed Richard Choi as head of real estate advisory for the U.K., the Financial News wrote.

Choi, who will join the French lender in mid-October, was HSBC Holdings PLC's head of real estate and hospitality investment banking for EMEA. In his new role, Choi will head BNP Paribas' division that advises property companies on M&A and will also work with the bank's real estate management business.

Choi will be based in London and report to Matthew Ponsonby, head of U.K. banking, and Pierre Semeria, head of real estate.

Scottish Investment Trust

* British asset manager Scottish Investment Trust PLC named Neil Rogan nonexecutive director, effective Sept. 10.

Meanwhile, Russell Napier, a nonexecutive director at the firm, will not stand for re-election at the company's annual general meeting February 2020.
