Eiji Nakai, BarclaysPlc CEO for Japan, is due to leave the firm June 30, Bloomberg Newsreported March 31, citing internal memos.
Nakai will also relinquish the role of co-CEO for Asia Pacific,leaving Andrew Jones as the sole CEO.
Meanwhile, Mark Dearlove will take on the responsibility of Japancountry manager along with his role as head of markets in Asia Pacific. His appointmentis effective March 31.
The firm also appointed the current deputy chairman of BarclaysSecurities Japan Ltd., Tetsuya Kodama, as chairman, also effective March 31.
A Tokyo-based spokesman for Barclays confirmed the changes.
