Multicampus Q2 profit climbs 7.4% YOY

Multicampus Corp. said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 409.99 South Korean won per share, a gain of 7.1% from 382.81 won per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 2.43 billion won, an increase of 7.4% from 2.26 billion won in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 6.9% from 6.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 35.12 billion won from 33.88 billion won, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 31.61 billion won from 30.85 billion won.

Reported net income rose 10.8% on an annual basis to 2.86 billion won, or 481.87 won per share, from 2.58 billion won, or 436.04 won per share.

As of Aug. 17, US$1 was equivalent to 1,183.06 South Korean won.
