BM&FBOVESPA acquires additional 2% stake in Santiago stock exchange

BM&FBOVESPA SA – Bolsa de Valores Mercadorias eFuturos said it acquired an additional equity stake of about 2% inthe Santiago stock exchange for 1.7 billion Chilean pesos, raising the company'stotal stake in the Chilean bourse to approximately 10.4%.

The Brazilian stock exchange operator, which also owns a4.1% stake in the Mexican stock exchange, recently a stake of 9.9% in Colombianstock exchange BVC.

The company noted that it will "continue to assessinvestment opportunities in other companies in the region, whoseactivities are connected to its core business."

As of July 8, US$1 wasequivalent to 662.03 Chilean pesos.
