Myanmar Metals updates resource at Bawdwin lead-zinc-copper-silver project

Myanmar Metals Ltd. said March 6 that it updated the inferred mineral resource at its Bawdwin project in Myanmar to 76.9 million tonnes at 4.6% lead, 2.3% zinc, 0.24% copper and 118 g/t of silver.

The estimate is based on a cutoff grade of 0.5% lead above the 750-meter level and a cutoff grade of 2% lead below 750 meters.

The updated resource includes a copper-rich resource of 3.4 million tonnes at 3.12% copper, 5.7% lead, 2.8% zinc and 182 g/t silver.

The October 2017 resource estimate for the Bawdwin project included inferred resources of 41.4 million tonnes grading 7.5% lead, 3.5% zinc, 0.33% copper and 178 g/t silver using a cutoff of 2.0% lead.

An ongoing drilling program at Bawdwin will update the resource estimate in the second quarter and reclassify a major portion of the initial open pit resource as indicated, the company said.
