Amazon.com Inc. on Sept. 9 said it is looking to fill more than 30,000 full-time and part-time jobs in the U.S.
The online retail giant will hold six Amazon Career Day events Sept. 17, specifically in Arlington, Va.; Nashville, Tenn.; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; and Seattle. The informational and networking events also aim to teach people how to start a business in delivering packages or in selling items online.
The available jobs range from entry-level roles at Amazon's fulfillment centers, to software development engineers and computer vision scientists, to corporate roles. The positions offer at least $15 an hour with competitive benefits and access to on-the-job training. Employees will also have upskilling opportunities under Amazon's $700 million initiative, which aims to retrain a third of its workforce by 2025.
The e-commerce company added that it is also hiring for tens of thousands of seasonal roles, which pay an hourly wage of $15, under its operations network for the upcoming holidays.
